Common Questions
Explore the key questions about Equalizer, including integration, compatibility, hashrate allocation, and its impact on your existing mining operations.
Understanding Equalizer
Equalizer is an intelligent stratum proxy that sits between a hosting company's miners and the mining pool. It stabilizes client performance during downtime, recovers unused hosting capacity, and captures excess hashrate as new revenue, with no miner firmware changes.
Equalizer is built for crypto mining hosting companies that want stable client performance, more hosting capacity without new infrastructure, and additional revenue from their existing operations.
Performance and compatibility
When a client’s assigned miner goes offline, its worker’s hashrate can drop to 0 TH/s. This is known as zero-hash downtime. Equalizer redistributes available hashrate across client workers, sharing the impact across the fleet. Redistribution depends on the hashrate still available from online miners.
Equalizer currently supports Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Kaspa (KAS), and Zcash (ZEC). Additional cryptocurrencies are continuously added based on customer demand.
Yes. Equalizer sits in the stratum path and works with any stratum-compatible pool and your existing infrastructure, with no changes to your miners or pool setup.
Setup and daily operations
Equalizer deploys as a software layer on the infrastructure you already have, with no new racks, infrastructure CAPEX, or miner firmware changes required. Connect miners by updating their stratum configuration, using an Equalizer-provided DNS for site-level routing, or migrating existing miners through the Foreman API.
No. Equalizer works as a software layer in the stratum path and is compatible with existing miners and any stratum-compatible pool, with no firmware changes required.
No. Once your miners point at Equalizer, pools, worker IDs, and hashrate allocation are managed centrally from the Equalizer console. Adding a client, moving hashrate between pools, or changing a worker takes effect without touching individual ASICs.
Yes. We offer a trial period, allowing you to test Equalizer in your own environment before rolling it out across your entire operation. Our team will support you throughout the setup to ensure you can properly evaluate the platform.
